How it works

The tool divides the price by the milligrams it buys. Micrograms are divided by a thousand first and grams multiplied by a thousand, so every figure comes out per milligram, whatever the seller's unit.

It then counts, among the 58 figures we hold for 5 products, how many sellers of the same product charge less per milligram and how many charge more. Each figure is the seller's price divided by the milligrams it states on its own page, the lowest one per seller.

A volume is refused on purpose. Milliliters measure the liquid, not the drug, so a vial's size alone cannot give a cost per milligram.

Cost per milligram leaves out fees and says nothing about how long the milligrams last at your dose. The all-in calculator covers the fees; your prescriber sets the dose.
