Glutathione Injection Cost: The Monthly Price for Home Injection

What a month of self-injected glutathione costs from telehealth sellers, computed from published prices, and what the evidence says the money buys.

ByDerek MossPricing analystPublished

A month of self-injected glutathione from a telehealth seller costs this much. The figures below are computed from sellers that publish a monthly price.

That is 86 sellers, each counted once at its lowest monthly injection price. The full board, with every form, is the glutathione price board.

What the monthly price buys

A telehealth price covers a vial for home use. You inject it yourself, as prescribed.

An IV drip at a clinic is a separate product. It is priced per visit, not per month. Do not compare a drip session to a month of vials.

Read the line under the price. Some sellers include the consult. Some bill a membership on top. The peptide therapy cost guide lists the five fees that recur.

Supplies and shipping

A vial alone is not a dose. You also need:

  • Syringes and needles sized for the injection route.
  • Alcohol pads.
  • A sharps container, which some sellers include.

Ask whether these ship with the vial. Ask whether cold packaging is a separate charge.

Where glutathione stands with the FDA

Glutathione is in 503A Category 1[1]. That category holds bulk substances under evaluation[1]. It is not an approval.

Under its interim policy, FDA does not intend to act against a pharmacy compounding from a Category 1 substance[2]. Conditions apply. That is why a licensed pharmacy can fill it.

Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing[3]. The pharmacy tier matters, as set out in 503A vs 503B.

What the money buys, in evidence

Most glutathione injections are marketed for skin. The research is thin there.

A 2025 systematic review found one placebo-controlled trial of IV glutathione[4]. It reported 6 of 16 (37.5%) on glutathione against 3 (18.7%) on placebo[4]. The difference was not significant (p=0.054)[4].

The same review judged IV glutathione contraindicated. Its reasons were lack of efficacy and side effects[4]. Oral and topical forms showed moderate effects in that review[4].

That is the trade to price. The monthly figure is known. The benefit for skin is not established.

Paying for it

Most buyers pay cash. The insurance guide explains why plans rarely cover compounded drugs. The HSA and FSA guide explains when an account can pay. A cosmetic purpose is the usual problem there.

FAQ

4 questions

How much does a glutathione injection cost per month?

This page computes a typical, low and high monthly price from telehealth sellers that publish one for injectable glutathione, updated as those prices are re-read.

Is a glutathione IV drip the same price as injections at home?

No. A clinic drip is priced per session, while a telehealth price usually covers a month of vials for self-injection. They are different products.

Is injectable glutathione FDA-approved?

No. Glutathione is in FDA's 503A Category 1, a list of bulk substances under evaluation, and compounded drugs are not FDA-approved.

Does IV glutathione lighten skin?

A 2025 systematic review found one placebo-controlled IV trial, with a non-significant difference, and judged IV glutathione contraindicated for lack of efficacy and side effects.
