CVS MinuteClinic, priced
The $29 offer buys a weight-loss consultation. Medication, laboratory work and any later visits need their own quotes, and coupon prices depend on eligibility.

The bill, in one line
Useful for separating the prescribing visit from the pharmacy purchase. Do not compare the $29 consultation or a conditional coupon offer with another clinic’s full month of medication and care.
CVS MinuteClinic runs online prescribing visits for FDA-approved weight-loss medicines. Its current selection includes Wegovy, Zepbound, Saxenda and Foundayo. The clinician decides whether to prescribe, and a participating pharmacy fills the medicine separately. It publishes no bundled monthly medication price.
The public weight-loss page charges $29 for its online consultation and explicitly excludes labs. This differs from an all-in medication price. A prescription is not guaranteed. Before booking, price three separate items: that appointment, any testing, and the exact medication and strength at your chosen pharmacy. CVS also advertises selected medicines from $149 without insurance and from a $25 copay with insurance. Both involve manufacturer coupons and restrictions on eligibility, brand and dose. Those are conditional pharmacy offers, not a universal cash price or a fee collected by MinuteClinic. The regular virtual-care price on other CVS pages is a different service offer; select the weight-loss visit and confirm its charge before completing a booking. A later dose, a coupon’s expiry or an insurance denial can change the next pharmacy bill. A regulatory note belongs with this company’s history: FDA’s 2023 letter to CVS Health addressed homeopathic pink-eye drops, including unapproved-drug and adulteration concerns. It did not assess the weight program or its GLP-1 prescriptions. The letter does not establish that this consultation has the same problem.

The fine print
- Prepay
- The weight-loss offer states that no subscription is required and lists no multi-month price. The consultation offer does not require a multi-month medication purchase. The page describes later visits and dose reviews, but does not publish one bundled follow-up schedule and total price. Budget for further appointments rather than assuming the first fee covers indefinite care.
- Cancellation
- The public program page publishes no cancellation deadline or refund guarantee for the weight-loss appointment. The linked virtual-care legal hub supplies general terms rather than a clear program-specific refund schedule. Check the booking terms before paying, especially whether a fee remains due when the clinician does not prescribe. No medication subscription is advertised, so stopping visits and stopping a pharmacy refill are separate tasks.
- Shipping
- MinuteClinic’s visit does not include a shipped medication package. Any delivery service, collection option, stock problem or shipping charge is determined by the dispensing pharmacy. The weight-loss footnote explicitly warns that GLP-1 supplies may be unavailable at the chosen pharmacy. Confirm availability before making repeated paid visits just to change the prescription destination.

FAQ
4 questionsIs MinuteClinic $29 a month including semaglutide?
No. That amount is for an online weight-loss consultation. The pharmacy charges for medication separately, and labs are excluded.
Can everyone get the advertised $149 medicine price?
No. It applies only to selected drugs and eligible doses with a manufacturer coupon. Confirm your eligibility and actual pharmacy charge.
Do I have to prepay several months?
The consultation page says no subscription is required. It does not sell a multi-month medication bundle.
Was CVS warned by FDA about its GLP-1 program?
The FDA letter concerns CVS Health’s retail pink-eye drops in 2023, not the MinuteClinic weight-loss program.
