So the first months are the cheap ones. Higher doses cost $299 a bottle[1]. Budget for that figure, not the starter price.
Four prices in the table carry conditions. The 2.5 mg and 5.5 mg prices are reduced until December 31, 2026[1]. The two top doses hold their price only with a refill inside 45 days[1]. Lilly does not print the regular price on that page[1].

With insurance, or Medicare
With commercial coverage for Foundayo, Lilly says you could pay as low as $25 a month[1]. Governmental beneficiaries are excluded[1].
Medicare runs its own route. The GLP-1 Bridge started July 1, 2026[4]. It lists Foundayo among the covered drugs[4]. The cost is $50 a month, whatever your income[4].

What the price buys
The phase 3 trial behind the label enrolled 3,127 adults with obesity and no diabetes[3]. It ran 72 weeks[3].
At the top dose, weight fell 11.2% against 2.1% on placebo[3]. The trial called that dose 36 mg[3]. The label reports the same trial at 17.2 mg, its own tablet’s equivalent[2].
Side effects stopped treatment for 5.3% to 10.3% of patients on the drug[3]. On placebo it was 2.7%[3]. A stopped month is still a paid month.
