The units are not the same
Wegovy counts a box of 4 pens, 28 days[1]. Zepbound counts 28 days[3]. Foundayo counts 30 days[4].
An Ozempic month is one pen[5]. Each pill month is one bottle of 30[2][5]. Over a year, 28-day fills mean 13 purchases, not 12.
The conditions behind the numbers
- Zepbound’s higher doses hold their price only with a refill inside 45 days. Late, it runs up to $699[3].
- Foundayo’s top doses carry the same 45-day rule. Two of its lower prices are temporary[4].
- Wegovy and Ozempic pens have a cheaper introductory fill for new patients, limited to two months[1][5].
